Traffic flow suspended on Eid
Traffic pressure started increasing on roads leading to or near the parks and picnic points on Wednesday afternoon.
KARACHI:
Traffic remained clogged for hours on Wednesday as thousands of people on motorcycles, private cars and on rooftops of public vehicles ventured out to parks and picnic points to celebrate Eid.
Traffic pressure started increasing on roads leading to or near the parks and picnic points on Wednesday afternoon. According to traffic police officials, Sharae Faisal remained congested for hours in the evening due to visitors rush to the Pakistan Air Force museum.
“We deployed our police personnel to manage the traffic flow but the pressure and the number of visitors at each spot was so huge that the roads fell narrow to accommodate them,” said a traffic control official requesting anonymity. “After 10pm, the traffic pressure started easing out.”
