Independence Day: Azadi Train to start journey on Aug 11

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) will run an Azadi Train to mark the Independence Day, a PR official said. The train will start its one-month journey from Peshawar on August 11 and reach Karachi on September 11. Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique chaired a meeting on Saturday to finalise arrangements for celebrating the Independence Day. The meeting decided that on August 13 candlelight vigils would be organised at all major railways stations to pay tribute to the participants of Pakistan Movement. Trains will be decorated on August 14.
