Fire erupts in garment factory in Karachi

Fire fighters are at the site of the fire, with at least 10 fire brigades.

KARACHI: A huge fire erupted in a garment factory in the industrial area of Landhi in Karachi on Saturday, Express News reported.

Fire fighters said that the fire was spreading, and initially four fire brigades were sent to the site. It was later increased to 10, due to the extent of the fire.

No injuries have been reported. However in the efforts of putting the fire out, a fire-fighter fainted and has been transferred to a hospital, according to Karachi bureau chief Aslam Khan.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and those inside the factory have been evacuated.
