The notification stated that 5,140 records were rejected for multiple registration, 105 people provided CNIC numbers of Child Registration Card (CRC) holders, 11,227 gave invalid card numbers and other family members of 14,887 individuals had already registered. Lastly, 471 applications were rejected as the CNIC was missing altogether.
The notification highlighted that 11,033 cases sent to NADRA had been redressed while 5,843 were pending.
Uninterrupted schooling
The FATA Directorate of Education is planning to allow displaced students to continue with their studies by accommodating them elsewhere.
The directorate’s Bannu office met with Fata Education Director Roz Wali Khan in chair.
They decided to put to use all facilities to accommodate students in educational institutions in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, in general, and Bannu district and Lakki Marwat in particular as these were the main host districts.
The officials decided that the education director would approach the principals and headmistresses of schools in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and ask them to allow the registration of displaced students.
The directorates of Bannu and Lakki Marwat would be asked to cooperate in the registration of students.
