LAHORE: State Minister for Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday termed the statements issued against Nandipur Power Project “a pack of lies.” Talking to the media at Nandipur, he said there was no reality in the accusation of PTI politicians that the power plant has developed fault due to running on diesel. “The plant runs on three fuels including diesel, furnace oil and gas, therefore, the question of developing any fault due to running on diesel does not arise,” he said. The state minister rebuked the statement of Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed about gas shortage in Gujranwala due to Nandipur Power Project. “No gas pipeline has been laid for the plant so far,” he said. Meanwhile Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood said that the provincial government headed by Shahbaz Sharif is extending full cooperation to the centre for the Nandipur Power Project.
