KARACHI:

Two men were killed while at least two others were injured in an explosion at a CNG station on Rashid Minhas Road near Fazal Mill within the limits of Federal B Industrial Area police station on Monday evening.

The explosion took place moments before the iftar. Police officials and witnesses claim that the cylinder of a passenger bus exploded while it was at the CNG station.

An employee of the CNG station, who was later identified as Shakeel, died on the spot while three others, identified as Faisal, Imtiaz and Amjad were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

There were reports that the injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment, however, SHO Javed Yousufzai told The Express Tribune that the explosion took place when the passenger bus was getting gas filled.
