Ramazan robbery: Robbers loot Rs0.4m from USC outlet

The officer claimed police have started raids to arrest the robbers and will find the culprits soon

RAWALPINDI: Robbers looted Rs0.4 million from a Utility Stores Corporation (USC) outlet near the Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Monday. According to a police official, four armed robbers arrived at the USC store in Dhoke Munshi near the airport at 3:15pm and took the entire staff and consumers hostage at gunpoint. Later, they collected Rs400, 000 in cash and fled from the scene.  Upon resistance, the security guard of the store was shot and injured. Airport Station House Officer Raja Musadiq confirmed the incident and said the robbers plundered the amount after they made the staff and customers hostage. He said a case has been registered against unidentified men on the complaint of the store manager.  The officer claimed police have started raids to arrest the robbers and will find the culprits soon and recover the stolen money.
