India violates ceasefire for second consecutive day

Indian Border Security Force resorts to unprovoked firing in the Charwa sector near the LoC.

SIALKOT:
For a second consecutive day, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing in the Charwa sector near the line of control (LoC), Express News reported on Thursday.

The Punjab Rangers retaliated which forced the Indian BSF to stop firing.


According to sources, the Indian BSF also fired mortal shells. No loss of life was reported till the filing of this report.

The Indian side had violated ceasefire on July 16 as well by resorting to indiscriminate firing in the same sector. The Chenab Rangers had retaliated, leading to the Indian guns becoming silent.
