ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where he was briefed on the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan, Express News reported on Thursday.
The premier was accompanied by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef received the prime minister when he arrived at the headquarters.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the premier was given a guard of honour upon his arrival.
During his visit, Nawaz paid a tribute to the Pakistan Army for its achievements.
