It’s always best to opt for natural remedies to safeguard your skin against the sun and environmental pollution. Make use of these five homemade face masks based on your skin type to unveil your inner beauty, as compiled from the Times of India.
Oatmeal mask (for oily skin): Mix two tablespoons of unprocessed oats with a medication spoon of salt (baking powder – baking soda). Next, add some water to make the mixture dense. Apply on the skin in circular motion and then rinse with warm water.
Cucumber mask (for dry skin): Add small cucumber roots to a cup of oatmeal and a tablespoon of yogurt. Apply a thick layer on the skin and let it stay for 30 minutes. Wash with warm water and leave your face to dry.
Honey mask (for all skin types): Apply a thin layer of honey to slightly moist skin let it stay on for five minutes. Wash with warm water and then cold water and dab your face with a towel.
Banana mask (anti aging): Make a smooth paste out of a ripe banana and apply a thin layer of it on your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water, patting your face dry. Voilà!
Avocado mask (for all skin types): Mash ripe avocado until creamy smooth and apply a thick layer of it on your face. While waiting 15 minutes to let the mask dry, you can relieve the pressure from your eyes by placing two slices of cucumber on them. Rinse with warm and then cold water.
