Getting ready: WASA issues monsoon plans

WASA spokesperson says 6 relief centres established in various parts of city.

FAISALABAD: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Thursday issued a duty plan to cope with emergencies during monsoon rains. A WASA spokesperson said six relief centre had been established in various parts of the city. He said WASA Deputy Director Faqeer Hussain Babar would look after a relief centre set up at WASA’s main office. Director Parvaiz Iqbal would supervise the relief centre of West division.    

He said Waseem Ahmad Hashmi would monitor the relief centre at Lateef Chowk Ghulam Muhammadabad and Director Ejaz Ali would be posted at Baghdadi Park Gulberg Colony.

He said Director Asghar Ali would head the relief centre at East division and Director Noor Muhammad would be relief centre at Bismillah Chowk in Madina Town. He said Director Muhammad Azam would supervise the camp Jhall Khannuana, Sir Syed Town. He said citizens could contact a toll-free number (1334) in case of emergencies.
