Overflowing towns: Muzaffargarh population growth ‘alarming’

District Population Officer says 57 centres of Welfare Dept working at various places to raise awareness.

MUZAFFARGARH:
“The population of Muzaffargarh is increasing at an alarming rate of 2.6 per cent and is creating health and education problems,” said DCO Shukat Ali on Thursday.

He was addressing a seminar organised by the Welfare Department. He said ulema, social organisations and NGOs played a role in raising awareness among masses the problems of a high population growth rate.


District Population Officer said there were 57 centres of the Welfare Department working at various places to raise awareness among married couples, regarding family planning.
