KARACHI: Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has asked the Sindh chief minister to look into the matter of the purchase of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) from Serbia at exorbitant rates without open bidding. TIP said that it has been reported that the Sindh government has transferred the services of IG of Sindh Police Iqbal Mehmood to the federal government on his resistance to approve the shady deal. TIP in its letter to CM Qaim Ali Shah said that even the Emergency Procurement Act 2014 does not permit Sindh government to make any procurement without open tendering.
