Lightning: FC soldier killed, two injured on duty

GHALLANAI: A Frontier Corps (FC) official died and two others were injured when lightning struck the FC post at Qandharo Lakaro in Safi tehsil, Mohmand Agency. A source from the security force confirmed the incident. During a thunderstorm in the agency late night on Monday, lightning hit Qandharo Lakaro FC post. As a result one official, Usman Khan, died on the spot while two other sepoys,  Shena Khan and Abid Khan, were injured. They were taken to Combined Military Hospital Peshawar where one is in a critical condition while the other is said to be stable. The spell of rain which hit Mohmand Agency on Monday night dampened the heat wave but left agricultural lands damaged in the area.
