Miandad optimistic of Pakistan’s T20 win
KARACHI:
Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has shown considerable optimism about Pakistan retaining their World Twenty20 title in the West Indies under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi.
He also urged the nation to united and support the team and captain as they prepare to leave for the Caribbean. “At this moment we should not have any anxiety over the injuries of some players, it’s part of the game,” Miandad told The Express Tribune.
“Such negative thinking will not serve the cause at all.” He added that the team should participate in the event with full confidence as the ups and downs witnessed in the last few days are part and parcel of a big event but that is not something the players can hold close to heart.
