GUJAR KHAN: A police constable was axed to death at his house in Gujar Khan, the police said on Wednesday. Muhammad Sawar, a resident of Gulyana Town, told the local police that unidentified persons killed his son on Tuesday night while Sawar was sleeping on the roof. He said he was going to sleep when some people knocked at the door. His son identified them as his friends. In the morning, Sawar found his son dead in a pool of blood. According to the preliminary investigation, the deceased, 40, was a government servant posted in Rawalpindi. He had earlier been suspended while under a departmental inquiry and had only returned to work two days back.
