LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) chief and summoned him for the company not responding to notices in a case involving incorrect billing. Petitioner Muhammad Ijaz said Lesco had issued him a bill for Rs304.8 million. He said he had filed several complaints with the authorities but they had not been heeded. He requested the court to order Lesco to cancel the bill and issue a correct one. Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan had issued several notices to the Lesco chief in the petition earlier. On Tuesday, the counsel for Lesco sought more time to file a reply. The judge rejected the request and summoned the Lesco chief to appear in court in person on June 26.
