Four men allegedly killed by relatives over property row

The victims' bodies were found from the outskirts of the city on Monday.

KARACHI: Police investigators say that the four men whose bodies were found from the outskirts of the city on Monday were abducted and killed over a property dispute by their own relatives.

The four victims had been blindfolded and their hands and legs were bound together with ropes when their bodies were found in Raees Goth, Baldia Town, within the limits of Mochko police station. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi for autopsies and later shifted to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth where they were identified on Tuesday. They were identified as Khurram, son of Sabzai, Shado, son of Abdullah, Noor Khan, son of Omar. They were all aged between 32 to 38 years. The fourth victim, whose age was around 20 years, was identified as Anwar, son of Muhammad. Police said that all four victims were residents of Mubarak Village, Mauripur.



They had recently had a dispute with their relatives over a plot in Mauripur.

"They had come to Mochko to attend a wedding ceremony from where they were abducted," DSP Qamar Zaman told The Express Tribune. "One of the victims, Khurram, was also nominated in a murder FIR around five months ago."

The officer said that the empty shells of the murder weapon were sent to the forensic division for analysis. Police are waiting for the forensic report which would help trace the assailants. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
