Punjab government announces release of PAT workers
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asks Punjab governor to communicate with Qadri.

The Punjab government has announced the release of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers arrested in relation to Monday's clashes, Express News reported on Tuesday.
Police arrested 550 workers of PAT after clashes broke out between party workers and police, after the supporters asked law enforcers to remove barriers blocking Airport Road near Koral Chowk and the police officials refused.
During the clashes at least 120 people including 45 policemen were injured in the twin cities.
The PAT supporters, who had come to receive Dr Qadri from the Islamabad airport, allegedly damaged government property, beat up police personnel, tried to steal weapons and stole weapons from an armoured car.
Earlier today, Islamabad and Rawalpindi police registered cases against more than 1,600 PAT workers including party chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
The cases were registered on charges of vandalism and violence outside Benazir International Airport on the complaint of the police.
Several clauses including violation of section 144 and disrupting peace have been included in the First Information Reports.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has tasked Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar to communicate with Qadri. The police has also been asked to provide full-proof security to the PAT leader.
