Part-time master’s: KU announces new courses

The university is set to offer over 2,700 admission seats to Masters’ programmes.

KARACHI: The University of Karachi is offering postgraduate admissions to its evening programme starting Monday. The programme, which began 18 years ago, has now expanded its course range to 43 diverse disciplines of administration, natural, applied and social sciences programmes. This year, the university is set to offer over 2,700 admission seats to Masters’ programmes.  “The timings of the programme provide an excellent opportunity to individuals who are working and want to improve their academic qualifications for career advancement,” said evening programme director Professor Dr Abid Hasnain. Prospective students can get the application forms between June 23 and July 11 after paying Rs1,000 to United Bank Limited’s branch located at the varsity’s Silver Jubilee gate. The university will announce the list of successful candidates on August 4, following which the new entrants will be enrolled for classes in the fall semester, beginning from August 20.
