Relief: Ramazan Bazaars to be set up

Rawalpindi City District Administration has evolved a plan to set Sasta Ramazan Bazaars to provide basic commodities.

The Rawalpindi City District Administration has evolved a plan to set up Sasta Ramazan Bazaars to provide basic commodities, food items and dates to the citizens at subsidised rates during the month of fasting. As many as 15 bazaars will be established in Rawalpindi district. Nine bazaars will be set up in the areas of cantonment and the city, while one bazaar each will be set up in Murree, Kotli Sattian, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, Gujar Khan and Taxila. Flour, dates, beef, mutton, pulses, beverages, vegetables, fruits and sugar will be available at these bazaars at subsidised rates. The areas of Committee Chowk, Dhoke Kala Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanna, Shamsabad, Chohar Chowk, Dhok Sayedan, Chungi No 22 and Morgah have been selected for setting up the bazaars. An in-charge will be appointed for every Sasta bazaar and assistant commissioners of Rawalpindi city, cantonment and Saddar will monitor the bazaars.
