Raids: Taxila police arrest 30 suspects

The police checked over 200 houses and investigated some 400 persons.

RAWALPINDI:
The Taxila police on Sunday raided various localities and arrested 30 suspects including a proclaimed offender who was wanted in a murder case. The police also recovered drugs and illegal weapons. A Rawalpindi police spokesman said Nisar Ahmed, a resident of Dora Badhal, Tarnol, was wanted in connection with the killing of two policemen. The police also arrested three drug peddlers in possession of 4.88 kilogrammes of hashish. They also confiscated two 30-bore pistols with 28 rounds. The police checked over 200 houses and investigated some 400 persons.
