Show of strength: Groom injured in celebratory fire
Said friends of the groom fired in the air to celebrate.

Three people sustained multiple injuries from celebratory fire at a mehndi ceremony late on Saturday night. Sahianwala police said Ejaz Ali, a resident of Chak 23-JB, had arranged the mehndi function for his wedding on Saturday night. They said friends of the groom fired in the air to celebrate. Police said some of the stray bullets hit Ali, Hayat Hussain and Zawwar Hussain. They were referred to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad. Muhammad Younus, a witness, told newsmen the friends of the groom appeared to be drunk. He said elders of the family had tried to stop them but they had ignored their requests.
