Emergency Response Plans: Sindh IG holds meeting with PMA

KARACHI:
Sindh IG Iqbal Mehmood instructed the Karachi AIG on Saturday to launch a joint emergency reporting and response centre (JERRC) at the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) office. Mehmood gave these instructions during a delegation of PMA at his office. He ordered DIGs to ensure availability of a list of landline and mobile numbers of the doctors, their clinics, hospitals and residences in police zones. He also directed that all sub offices of joint emergency reporting and response centres remain in contact with JERRC and take legal action on FIRs registered by the doctors. He nominated AIG Sindh operation as focal person for addressing the concerns of the doctors facing threats.
