Infrastructure development: Rs31.56 billion reserved for roads
The government has earmarked Rs31.56 billion for improvement of city roads.

The government has earmarked Rs31.56 billion for improvement of city roads. According to the budget document, Rs2.13 billion has been allocated for the improvement of Multan Road from Thokar Niaz Beg to Scheme Mor, Rs496 million for the construction of Southern Loop 1 of Ring Road and Rs846.38 million for a road between Kahna and Raiwind. Rs21.76 billion has been reserved for 23 ongoing road schemes and Rs9.78 billion for 19 new ones. Two bridges will be constructed over River Ravi, one of those for the Metro Bus Service. Roads with a traffic density of more than 800 vehicles a day will be either widened or dualised.
