LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Thursday sent four men accused in the murder of Farzana Parveen to jail on judicial remand. Parveen was bludgeoned to death in front of Lahore High Court in late May by her family. The four accused produced in the magistrate’s court on Thursday were brothers of the deceased, Ghulam Ali and Zahid Ali, and Mazhar. Parveen’s parents claim that Mazhar had married her shortly before Muhammad Iqbal abducted her. Producing the accused in court, the Mozang police requested an extension in their physical remand. However, the magistrate rejected the request and sent them to prison on a judicial remand.
