PTI, JI activists get bails in separate cases
.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday granted bail to four political activists, including Shah Faisal Town Chairman Gohar Khattak, in a case relating to alleged rioting and possession of illegal weapons.
During the proceedings, defence counsel argued that Khattak and others had voluntarily courted arrest and that the charges were based on mala fide intentions.
The SHC directed Khattak to submit surety bonds worth Rs50,000 in each of the two cases registered against him. The co-accused, Adam, Shah Faisal and Hussain, were ordered to furnish surety bonds of Rs50,000 each.
Separately, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) granted bail to 30 workers of Jamaat-e-Islami who were taken into custody in connection with a case pertaining to a sit-in and alleged rioting outside the Sindh Assembly.
The ATC, functioning at the Anti-Terrorism Complex inside Central Jail, announced the reserved order on the bail applications. The court directed the accused to furnish surety bonds worth Rs30,000 each for their release.
According to police, the workers were attempting to enter the Red Zone near the Sindh Assembly when they were taken into custody on Saturday night.
