Governor accused of using office for 'ethnic politics'
.

Sindhi nationalist leaders on Friday accused Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori of turning the Governor House into a platform for what they described as ethnic politics, following a recent event attended by the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
Ayaz Latif Palijo, leader of Qaumi Awami Tehreek, alleged that the Governor House had been reduced to a "centre for hatching conspiracies against Sindh and Pakistan." He claimed that any attempt to undermine Sindh amounted to a threat to Pakistan's integrity.
Palijo reiterated longstanding nationalist concerns over proposals to separate Karachi from Sindh, calling it an "old conspiracy" allegedly backed by foreign powers. He further alleged that MQM-P had acted as a tool in advancing such objectives.
Separately, Riaz Ali Chandio, chairman of Jeay Sindh Mahaz, speaking to media in Thatta district, accused the federal government led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of tacitly supporting what he called MQM-P's "anti-Sindh narrative."
He alleged that "Lahore- and Islamabad-based powers" were backing MQM-P in efforts aimed at dividing Sindh and warned of renewed attempts to incite tensions between Sindhi and Urdu-speaking communities, who he noted have coexisted for decades.
Leaders of other nationalist parties also condemned the event.
