HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Goharullah has said that he has withdrawn his resignation following assurances by Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad that an inquiry will be conducted into his detention by the Rangers for two hours. Speaking at a press conference at the HCCI Secretariat on Wednesday, Goharullah said he was taken to the Rangers’ headquarters on May 28 and kept there for two hours during which he was asked to clarify a statement accusing the Rangers of not providing security to visiting foreign diplomats. Rangers, however, denied that they had detained Goharullah.
