Taking note of two different complaints submitted before him at the Central Police Office, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) IGP Nasir Khan Durrani ordered the dismissal of a sub-inspector posted in the counter-terrorism department along with the suspension of the SHO of Mayar, Lower Dir.

The SHO was suspended and a proper departmental enquiry was initiated against him on the basis of a preliminary report proving allegations that the official was involved in arresting and subsequently  releasing an accused for monetary gains.

The preliminary enquiry was conducted by the Lower Dir DPO after a complaint was sent to the IGP by residents of Lower Dir through SMS.

Similarly, the sub-inspector posted in the counter-terrorism department was dismissed by the IGP following a complaint that the official was abusing his official powers to settle personal scores.
