Man killed, brother injured

The police have registered a murder case against the suspect.

The police are looking for a suspect who killed a man and seriously injured his brother in Gujar Khan on Friday.


The victims identified as Bilal Javed and Umar Javed were present at their shop on Sikho Road when Mansoor along with his accomplices opened fire at them and fled leaving them critically injured.

The twin brothers were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where Bilal was pronounced dead and Umar was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi where he is on a ventilator.

According to preliminary investigation, Mansoor and Bilal had developed differences over a monetary issue, few days back, and the shooting was a result of the dispute.

The police have registered a murder case against the suspect and investigation is under way, the police said.

Meanwhile, the same police on Saturday apprehended a suspected drug peddler identified as Masood and seized 1.1kg of hashish from his possession.

A case has been registered against Masood, said an official.
