An activist of the Awami National Party (ANP) was gunned down over a family dispute in Domail, Bannu on Saturday.
Abdul Hanan Marwat, an official of Domail police, said the incident occurred at around 10am. Marwat said Sohrab Khan, an ANP elder in Azeem Kalan, filed a report stating that his brother Nasrullah was out of his house when the accused Alamzeb and Faridullah approached and opened fire at him. Nasrullah died on the spot, while both the accused managed to escape.
The official said the body was moved to District Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy, while a case was filed against the accused. Marwat added that the police later raided the houses of the accused, but they had locked their houses and managed to escape. The policeman said the accused and the deceased have had a family dispute for a long time.
