DASKA: A five-year-old boy was injured in a fall from the roof his house on Sunday. Rescue 1122 officials said the boy, Muhammad Zakariya, was playing with some children on the roof of his house when he tripped and fell down in the courtyard. He was taken to Civil Hospital. Later, he was referred to Gujranwala Civil Hospital. Separately, a man swallowed poisonous pills on Sunday. Police said Nauman, a resident of Chaanga, had been unemployed. They said he had had frequent arguments with his family over money. Police said he again argued with them on Sunday poisonous pills used for wheat storage. He was taken to Civil Hospital and later transferred to Gujranwala Civil Hospital. Furthermore, two armed men shot and injured a man on Sunday. Police said Muhammad Yaqoob, resident of Jamkay Road, was sitting in his drawing room when two men broke into his house and demanded money. On his refusal, they beat him up. The man was taken to Civil Hospital in a serious condition. City police have filed a case against unidentified suspects.
