Maternal concerns: Healthcare project to end on June 15

During the three years, 4,200 deliveries and 450 caesarian-section operations were carried out.

The Mother and Child Healthcare (MNCH) project, started three years ago here at a government hospital, will come to an end on June 15. The project was run by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) Integrated health System Strengthening Alliance (IHSAS) with the cooperation of a Norwegian NGO . During the three years, 4,200 deliveries and 450 caesarian-section operations were carried out . Dr Ghazanfar Khokhar of the hospital said that the women who live in remote areas will be the worst affected as all of them will now have to go to Larkana or other areas.
