Old rivalry: Five men shot dead in Faisalabad
Police blamed the killings on an old enmity.
FAISALABAD:
Five people were shot dead on Sunday in Thikriwala and Sandal Bar police areas, police said. They said Rana Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Chak 89 JB, and his nephews Muhammad Asghar, Muhammad Afzal and Muhammad Akmal were on their way to a nearby village when unidentified people opened fire on them. Aslam, Asghar and Afzal died on the spot. Akmal was taken to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, in a critical condition. Police blamed the killings on an old enmity. They said they had sent the bodies for autopsy and were looking for the attackers. Separately, Shaukat Odh of Chak 68 JB and Tariq Mehmood of Chak 35 JB were shot dead by Faryad alias Pappu, Ebad, Mushtaq and Badshah near Chak 62 JB, Sandal Bar police said.
