PESHAWAR:

Stressing on the 169 cases of terrorism, extortion and kidnapping for ransom under trial in anti-terrorism courts across the province, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani on Friday urged police investigators to work on the cases along scientific lines.

While presiding over a meeting at Central Police Office to review the progress and workings of the Investigation Wing of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police, Durrani said it was the responsibility of police to thoroughly investigate cases and present evidence in court which ensures that those guilty are convicted.

A detailed discussion was also held over the 169 terrorism cases undergoing trial across K-P. The IGP directed all SPs to nominate focal persons for each case to ensure expeditious and judicious convictions.
