Travelling Without Noc: Ukrainian national held in Jamrud

The man was travelling in a car which was heading towards Afghanistan via Torkham.

JAMRUD: A Ukrainian national was held by authorities in Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Friday for attempting to cross the Torkham border into Afghanistan without necessary documents. Ali Sher, an official of the political administration, said a Ukrainian national crossed Peshawar district and entered the agency without a no-objection certificate (NOC). The man was travelling in a car which was heading towards Afghanistan via Torkham. The official said the man was held at the Takhta Baig check post in Jamrud and handed over to the Hayatabad police, adding the name of the foreigner could not be disclosed at the moment. “He had all his travelling documents intact except the NOC,” said Sher. On May 7, a German national identified as Martin Stephen was held at Takhta Baig check post, Khyber Agency by the political administration while he was traveling to Afghanistan in a private taxi and was handed over to Hayatabad police.
