Safety Concerns: LHC orders CCPO to restore security
Ayesha Ahad Malik says she has received life threats and police security is critical for her safety.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court has directed the Capital City Police Officer to restore security for Ayesha Ahad Malik, who claimed to be PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz’s wife. Malik submitted through her counsel that the Punjab government had provided her police security following an order by the LHC. She said the government had withdrawn security without giving a reason. She said the PML-N-led government was victimising her on political grounds, as she belonged to a rival party. She said she had received life threats and police security was critical for her safety. Justice Anwarul Haq directed the Lahore CCPO to provide security to the petitioner within seven days.
