On the frontier: IED blast kills security official

A security forces official confirmed the incident.

GHALLANAI: A security forces official was killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a vehicle near the Oalay check post on the Pak-Afghan border in Mohmand Agency on Monday. A security forces official confirmed the incident and said sepoy Rahat Afridi was on his way to the post, where he was deployed, when the blast took place. His body was shifted to Ghallanai Headquarters Hospital from where it was taken to his hometown. Security forces launched a search operation after the incident.
