A paediatrician was shot dead at his clinic in Nawabshah on Saturday night.
Dr Farooq Rajpar, 40, was at his clinic in Afzal Shah Colony, when unidentified assailants opened fire at him. A clinic dispenser, Asfand Arain, was also injured in the incident.
The episode led to a protest by doctors in Nawabshah. They boycotted duties at the Peoples Medical College Hospital (PMCH), where both the victims were taken. Dr Ali Asghar Siyal, a paediatrician at the hospital, said the family of the victim does not know why he was attacked. No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
