Despicable: Girl, 10, raped by relative

The police are trying to locate the suspect.

FAISALABAD: A 10-year-old girl was reportedly raped in Jhang on Friday. Massan police said an 18-year-old boy, a resident of Hassan Khan village, raped the girl in her house and fled.

The girl’s uncle told journalists that the boy was a relative. “He came to our house when she was alone and raped her,” he said.

The suspect ran away when several neighbours rushed to the house on hearing the girl’s screams.

The girl was taken to Jhang district headquarters hospital where doctors said that her condition was critical.

The police said that they would take further action after receiving the medico-legal report.

The police were trying to locate the suspect.
