LAHORE:

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Punjab president Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry said on Thursday the country was going through the worst power crisis.

He said there was 18 hours a day load shedding from Karachi to Khyber.

“It is shocking that the LESCO chief has instructed that Raiwind be given uninterrupted power supply because the prime minister lives there.” He said two feeders would supply electricity to Raiwind.

PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said electricity outages were causing water shortages of water. She said instead of constructing roads around Model Town and Raiwind, the money should have been spent on ending load shedding.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said massive unemployment was being caused because of the power crisis.
