Plan: ‘Vision 2025’ to be launched this month

This plan has been developed through a national consultation conference attended by over 1,000 stakeholders.

ISLAMABAD: ‘Vision 2025’ is likely to be launched this month, aiming to create a globally competitive and prosperous Pakistan by providing quality life for all citizens of the country. “Vision 2025 is being prepared and is expected to be launched this month,” Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal said, while addressing a conference in Bali, Indonesia. He said that the vision was the direct manifestation of this new strategic approach to lead the country towards growth and development. He further said that the programme is based on inclusiveness and harmony at the national level, as well as cohesion and integration for common gains at bilateral and regional levels where trade, cultural and people-to-people relations are the linchpin of cooperation. This plan has not been developed in closed doors but through a national consultation conference attended by over 1,000 stakeholders and chaired by the prime minister.
