"People are afraid of Pakistan's take-off and also of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif delivering," claimed Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali during a press conference in Faisalabad.

He was referring to the development of the country and the work the premier was doing for it's progress including the construction of new power projects throughout the country.

Ali added that Pakistan was facing several issues including terrorism, unstable law and order, energy crisis as well as economic problems.


The minister claimed that the they had done the work of 12 years in 10 months.

He also stated that the electricity generation had increased from 8,000 megawatts (MW) last year to 10,056MW this year.

Referring to improvement in the energy crisis faced by the country today, Ali further remarked that load-shedding had decreased from 16-hours a day last year to just eight hours per day this year, adding that more work was being done to improve the situation.
