K-P CM inaugurates three model police stations in Peshawar
Says the visible process of change and reformation has started in the police department
PESHAWAR:
By freeing the police department from political interference the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government has proved that its leaders have no malicious personal or political designs like previous rulers, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
In his address to the media after inaugurating three model police stations in Peshawar on Monday, CM Khattak said his government was committed to providing an environment to the people which is free from unrest, terrorism, corruption, inequality and provides equal opportunities to all.
“The fate of people will no longer be decided in hujras of influential people. Dutiful police officers will show them respect and provide them protection,” said Khattak.
The three model police stations the CM inaugurated included Gulbahar, Faqirabad and Town police stations.
K-P Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Minister for Mineral Development Ziaullah Afridi, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, Home secretary Syed Akhter Ali Shah, as well as senior police officials were present on the occasion.
The CM also inspected various sections of the model police station in Gulbahar and got himself acquainted with its workings.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Khattak said the visible process of change and reformation has started in the police department.
He added the basic needs of all police stations would also be fulfilled and they would be equipped accordingly. “A congenial environment has been provided in the model police stations for registration of complaints and FIRs,” said Khattak.
