‘Extrajudicial’ killing: Court directs IO to submit charge sheet in Zeeshan murder case
On Friday, the investigation officer sought more time to submit the final charge sheet.
KARACHI:
A district and sessions court reserved on Friday the verdict on the bail-after-arrest application of a Ranger’s official who was booked for killing 30-year-old Zeeshan who was allegedly engaged in a brawl with his estranged wife near Nagan Chowrangi on February 28.
Rashida Siddiqui, an additional district and sessions judge in district Central, reserved the verdict for April 29 after hearing arguments from both the sides on the bail plea of the Rangers official, Raheem Noor. The judge had set the interim bail at Rs500,000.
Meanwhile, a judicial magistrate in the same district, Fida Hussain Abbasi, directed the police to submit a charge sheet as soon as possible. On Friday, the investigation officer sought more time to submit the final charge sheet.
The officer said he has prepared the charge sheet but the police file of the case was with the state counsel who was not available these days. He promised to submit the charge sheet as soon as he gets the file from the state counsel.
