Identified as Waqar Shah, the lawyer was targeted when unidentified men riding motorbikes opened fire on his car, injuring him critically. He later succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
Sindh High Court Chief Justice (CJ) Maqbool Baqar took notice of the killing and asked the Inspector General Sindh to submit a report on the incident.
Police claimed this was a planned attack and that the lawyer was shot three times.
Nadeem had left his house in a black Toyota Corolla and was on his way to the high court when the incident occurred.

Any Shia who is actively working for his community is being killed. Liberals don't care about Muislims dying. They only care about Americans/West dying.
all imported police LEAs should be send back from where they have come...
people die of bullets in Karachi. people die of hunger in Thar. Corruption Party celebrates the launch of its superman who excels in tweeting garbage at others. Wow what a dream land for waderas this province is
@qbc: And yesterday a student of a madrrisah was also shot dead soon after the death of a doctor (which was an agha khani not a 12wer Shia). Safely to assume that both sides are involved in this vicious genocide but now agha khaniz are being drawn into it makes things much worse. link text
@Parvez: Or may be this is the reason why they are afraid to exercise their powers...or ney?
Operation or no operation. Shia killings continue. People don't care as long as the killings are not in 100s.
Another shia professional killed today. Yesterday it was a doctor and the day before it was a doctor. An entire sect is being wiped out and the media does not tell the .
Please ET print the truth why are you so scared.
Every human life is important and indispensable for their families. Civil society needs to rise above political lines to protect human life and punish those who are responsible for taking anyone's life. Politics aside, we need tougher laws and better prosecution so that criminals go behind bar for a long time. Rather than rushing to court for political gains, if someone has a suggestion to put criminals behind bar then put them on the table and make a difference.
With our Sindh CM who is young, energetic and a man of upright character, I am sure Karachi will be a city of lights and peace! These feudals have ZERO value for people living in Urban Sindh. Those who have stakes are labelled as mafia. Is mulk ka kuch nahi ho ga.
The interference of other cities and provinces has already costed us our one arm in 1971 but we havent learnt anything out of it.
@vaqas, Religion teaches harmony and human rights. You seem to be brainwashed by Western media and their slaves here.
Advocate Name was Syed Waqar ul Hassan Zaidi
The legal community has to power to punish criminals..........but fails to do so. What we see happening is the result of this failure.
@Lubna: Sad day for humanity indeed it is. And may the family have the strength to live through this. But lubna you seem to be confusing liberals with religious fanatics. Liberals value the sanctity of life above all else. And are thus against anyone who values it less than anything else, let alone condoning murder.
Expect very little outrage by our liberals on this killing.
Just yesterday, at least people were killed. see your english dear
