Empowerment: ‘Youth can benefit from programmes’

DCO distributes uniforms, books among students of informal basic primary education school run by the Pasban Centre.

FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal said on Friday the government’s vocational and technical training programmes are aimed to empower youth. Distributing certificates among the participants of a training course at Pasban Training Centre, he said the provincial government was implementing the projects through the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta). He urged the students take maximum advantage of the training courses. PASBAN Information Technology Group Chairman Maj(r) Shanawazul Hassan said the training courses included repairing mobiles, electronics and home appliances. “We are also offering boarding and lodging to the youth under training training,” he said. The DCO also distributed uniforms and books among the deserving students of an informal basic primary education school run by the Pasban Centre at Younus Town.
