ABBOTTABAD: A ninth grade student, Asfandyar Abbasi, 13, committed suicide in a remote village of Galiyat region, police learnt on Friday. Abbasi’s father said he did not know why the teenager took his own life. According to the police, the deceased’s father, Waleed Abbasi, resident of village Tarmuthiyan Bakot, told them he lived in Rawalpindi with the rest of his family except his son who lived with his grandfather. After returning home from taking an exam at school on Thursday, Asfandyar reportedly went to his room. At dinner time, the grandfather found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
