Under section 144: Pillion riding, gatherings banned
Police were directed to carry out strict imposition of ban, take action against those found violating it.

The district government on Wednesday imposed Section 144 and banned pillion riding and public gatherings in the entire district for one week. A statement issued from the office of Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Jan stated that due to the recent law and order situation in the district, Section 144 was being imposed for a week. The order will be imposed on pillion riding, display of weapons and public gatherings in the district along with a ban on hate speech. The police were directed to carry out a strict imposition of the ban and take action against those found violating the ban under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code.
